Well there’s not much to add from last time, apart from that I have finally received my copies of Tabitha and Pirate Jim, which I have a problem with, its price. At £10.99, I think it is too much for a children’s book containing 32 pages. Unfortunately, books always cost more through self-publishers, which is a shame. So, I’m on the hunt to find a children’s publisher to take it on. And I am planning to re-do the illustrations. If it isn’t accepted anywhere then what the hell, at least I saw my daughters face shine with glee when I gave her the book – that is more important to me than anything else. And that was the main reason for getting the book self-published.
The novel of Barry is coming along good, better than I thought. I decided to write this one up in a notebook, which I have enjoyed doing. It’s been a while since I last wrote a story by hand. I’m on the hunt for an agent for this novel, so if you know of any good agents please let me know. I have also been looking at editing services for this book, my ain’t those pricey!
I’ve added a few more short stories on site. I do hope you enjoy them. I’m also adding new links, which may help you if you are interested in creative writing, links from help with grammar to on line writers site.
This month I’m sending off two stories to Horror Magazines, I’ll let you know how that goes.
My new years resolutions are to:
- Send at least one short story per month to competitions
- Place at least one story to my site monthly
- Send at least one story per month to publishing magazines
- Write more
- Finish my first novel this year
Well that’s it for now. Please feel free to contact me about anything, whether it’s to chat or if you have seen a fault on my site.
Tatty Bye…
